Adagio: Opus #5

As part of my Opus series, Adagio was a play on overlaid shapes, with dark and light passages providing movement to take the viewer throughout the painting.  Watercolor provided the base of the painting, with collage and acrylic to provide texture and sublety.  I have been a life-long musician and lover of all things musical, many times influencing my paintings, and these overlapping designs reminded me of instruments.
