Rhythm: Opus #8

As part of my Opus series, Rhythm was a play on overlaid shapes, with dark and light passages providing a rhythm to move the viewer throughout the painting.  Watercolor provided the base of the painting, with gouache and watercolor crayon used for mark-making.  I have been a life-long musician and lover of all things musical, many times influencing my paintings.
