Night Shadows

I have long been enamored with the work of Helen Frankenthaler and the American Expressionists, and their paintings on unprimed canvas, as well as color field studies.  AND I also love Georgia O'Keefe's large paintings of flowers.  "Night Shadows" was painted with fluid acrylics on wet raw canvas, with the paint mimicking the effects of watercolor on wet paper.  Abstractly, this was intended to be a more realistic iris, but I saw the exciting possibility of abstracting it to its essence.

"Night Shadows" is framed in a very simple black frame and ready to hang.
