Beyond the Veil

I have long been enamored with Helen Frankenthaler and the American Expressionists and their paintings on unprimed canvas.  Beyond the Veil was painted with fluid acrylics on wet raw canvas, with the paint mimicking the effects of watercolor on wet paper.  Under layers included brown and dark blue, as well as orange, with veils of transparent white.  Abstractly, this brought to mind the veils between this world and others of which we may or may not be consciously aware, and what we might see if we could were in touch with our spiritual selves and could "see more clearly."
