Magenta Anemone

I am enamored of Helen Frankenthaler and the American Expressionists who painted on unprimed canvas.  I love the way that fluid acrylics painted into wet canvas behave much like watercolors on wet paper -- soft edges, blended colors, some effects not possible in other ways.  This is one of a series of paintings done in 2014, with three of them sold through a fund-raising auction benefitting a private school for a boy choir.  Friends who live near Tanglewood now have them hanging in their guest house.
