Bird's Eye View, Hong Kong Bird Park

When we traveled to Hong Kong in 2008, we were so surprised and pleased to learn about the Hong Kong Bird Park, where on Sundays people brought their personal birds just to visit and compare species.  The park was very busy and colorful, with excited conversation all around us.  I took many photos and "Birds Eye View, Hong Kong Bird Park" is one a series of small paintings on gold gesso.  I used fluid acrylics and pen.  An acquaintance who had been to Hong Kong for work and knew the joys of the Hong Kong Bird Park gave it a new home.
