Fiery Blooms

This abstract floral piece was painted in a reductive process, with color applied all over the piece and then opaque paint defining the table and the vase, and then obscuring that which is not flowers. The paper is then mounted on canvas and varnished. I love the freedom that painting in this manner gives me to "discover" the essence of the floral arrangement.
